V A R Y
In this project I have worked with how our lifestyle has changed the use of the sofa and my intention has been to challenge the definition of the sofa in it’s traditional form and function. The sofa has gradually changed from being a decorum furniture, to a relaxing furniture and today it serves as the heart of many homes. A center where we sleep, work, eat, love and socialize – this is what I have tried to accommodate in this solution.
VARY is my suggestion for a reinterpretation of the traditional sofa. The loose upholstered elements makes it possible for the user to customize the sofa, so it complies with the users wants and needs. Because of the many possibilities for variation the sofa has been named VARY.
Materials - oak, textile and polyurethane foam.
